This has been the year for showcasing the art of the fashion exhibition. From the showstopping legendary McQueen exhibition at the V&A Museum on to the Louis Vuitton Series 3 exhibition ‘The Science of Savoir-Faire’ on The Strand. What struck me the most apart from the huge number of people attending the exhibition was the science and technology behind the brand. There was so much to take in from seeing the artisans skillfully putting together the iconic bags to the template to construction process ingeniously displayed by the 3D laser demonstrations. Visually, there was something for everyone from the life-like screenings of the recent SS16 runway show to the huge glass walk-in wardrobe but my favourite was the sculpture mannequins modelling LV accessories. They were works of art within themselves. On leaving the exhibition space, I gratefully accepted my free poster to take home, frame and display in my office. I can honestly say that Louis Vuitton put their unique stamp on the exhibition format and successfully delivered.
Elms Lesters Painting Rooms, London 22nd September 2015

Always great to find another new leather and luxury goods brand and thanks to a visit to the designer showrooms at The Brewer Street Car park as part of LFW SS16, Loxley England is now firmly on my list. They cover it all; luxury, sophistication, sumptuously soft leather and even have a clothing line too! Suffice to say, I fell in love with this bag…

So many looks, not enough storage space on my camera! This is always the case with me when it comes to LFW. As was the case at the KTZ runway show as part of London Fashion Week SS16. I loved thoroughly enjoyed it though. Huge thank you to Kelly Cutrone and her team at People’s Revolution for arranging a ticket to the show for me.
It’s September 2015 and Spring is definitely in the air; Spring/Summer 2016 to be precise. Danielle Romeril’s SS16 presentation at The Institute of Contemporary Arts was full of colour, texture and print. Loved the way the specially made sets complimented each of the looks.
This is one of my favourite presentation’s of London Fashion Week SS16 for visual, creative and design reasons. One of the main reasons I like attending presentations is that you can be just as creative with the visual concept as with runway shows; sometimes even more. Steven Tai at The Elms Lesters Painting rooms did not disappoint. The old school classroom environment with vintage style old wooden desks, coloured chalk on the blackboard, balloons and multi-coloured paperchains provided a sweet reminiscent backdrop for showcasing Steven Tai’s SS16 collection. This collection is for those days when you want to look preppy, girly, cute, feminine or all of the above. Frills, bows, prints and pastels topped off with geek-chic accessories such as round rimmed glasses, cute ankle socks and girly hair slides combined with the models cutting, pasting and colouring in, made me want to join the class too! Plus the fact that they had retro sweets hidden in their desks…things have changed since I went to school 😉
It’s always great to catch up with friends at the shows every season and when my friend Kathryn Rene (fashion designer & fellow stylist) & I bumped into the lovely Lee Dales outside the Xander Zhou show at LC:M SS16 , we wasted no time catching up as the end of another hectic season drew to a close. We were humbled to have our photograph taken to be featured on the Farfetch website as part of their Fashion Connect section. Farfetch is one of my favourite luxury online shopping destinations for that special something expertly sourced from selected boutiques around the world. How could I refuse?!
Thank you to the Farfetch team! X

Tourne De Transmission SS16 presentation was held at St. George’s Church as part of London Collections: Men.

Patrick Cox & I at The Glade Room, Sketch London showcasing the Lathbridge London collection.
I had the pleasure of meeting Canadian-born luxury foot wear designer Patrick Cox at Sketch London where he was launching his new lifestyle brand LATHBRIDGE London as part of London Collections: Men SS16. He talked me through his inspirations and the themes for this collection which features men’s and women’s footwear.
