Last night I attended the Coco de Mer & Victoria Grant close of London Fashion Week Party. The event was teasingly decribed on the invite as “delectable, beautiful and special” and it was and a little bit more. The crowd was elegant, diverse and at equally at ease in the sumptuous and alluring Monmouth Street store. The tone was set just right from start to finish; from my engaging chats with Allison & Frankie from the Coco de Mer team to my catch up with the lovely Victoria Grant who I had first met at the end of 2011 when I was prepping for the 2012 Superbowl. After a couple of glasses of Chambord Liqueur cocktails and a sexy burlesque performance, I left smiling and content with not only my beautiful goody bag of treats but also two invites. The first from Allison (Coco de Mer’s Product Trainer) to come back for a one to one tour of the store and their products. The other to meet Victoria for tea at her stunning studio. Thank you ladies. I will be kindly accepting both!!

Super Blogger Bip Ling special guest DJ did a great job warming up the crowd and kept everyone in high spirits.
Last night Home House was the venue for the official launch of LAI Jewellery as part of London Fashion Week. Described as “a brand new concept on modern day fine jewellery”, The SIREN collection (deriving from Greek mythology) is unisex with the intention of each piece to be both diverse and creative for each individual wearer. Designer Skir Lin having studied at Central St Martins, has honed her skills with the likes of De Beers & Cartier before branching out on her own. I have no doubt that Ms Lin’s collection will be snapped up quickly by one of London’s luxury online boutiques very soon. Watch this space.

Yummy treats and canapes fondly appreciated!

Last week I was invited to do an impromtu live shoot as part of Lewis and Leigh PR’s menswear press day. I think it had to be one of the hottest days of the year but Koral, Daniel and the rest of the team made sure that we were really taken care of! We were treated to lovely canapes, refreshing drinks and the opportunity to meet some of the great designers on their books. Can you believe that my lovely model’s only been in the biz for 3 weeks??!

Brimming with pride to introduce one of my closest friends Charles Harbison, one of the hottest new designers in New York right now. Charles is so talented that he has already had Hip Hop artist, songwriter and producer J Cole wearing one of his designs earlier this year and now he can add one of the highest accolades in fashion to the list; to be featured in this year’s September issue of US Vogue. Definitely one to watch.
Check out his debut collection for F/W13 Harbison now. I love you Charles!
“A few of my favourite things” (Ode to Mary Poppins); my vintage copy of Vogue Paris, seventies style Oliver Peoples sunglasses, Japanese Kokeshi doll and the newest edition the September issue of US Vogue featuring the uber-talented Charles Harbison.
Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer graces the eagerly awaited cover of Zink magazine’s September issue. The story was shot in London by photographer Nick Kelly at one of my new favourite London studios Shoreditch Studios. We broke for lunch and were treated to a barbecue and some wine in the summer sun. Not bad for on set catering!
